Abstract

The text investigates how and why the work of art is not only the product of the artist, but a crossroads of relationships between creator, interpreter and user. Wonder, understood as an original emotion that suspends certainties and opens up to new interpretations, is seen as the driving force of the creative and fruitful process. Poverty – neediness –, far from being mere lack, is described as a state of openness towards understanding and active participation of the user in the artistic experience. Art is therefore conceived as a space of infinite interaction, where emotions and meanings emerge and are continuously transformed, an “always open” process of recognition.
