Arte, riconoscimento e creatività: percorsi all’interno dell’“estetica” bergsoniana

Abstract
The purpose of this article is to propose an itinerary through Bergson’s texts, with particular reference to The Two Sources, in order to extrapolate two paths in which art, recognition and ethics intertwine according to two opposing paradigms. The aim is to highlight a duality inherent in the internal dialectic of artistic unity, showing on the one hand how there is a tendency to reduce art to ornament in response to a need for individual recognition as collective, in response to a biological need; on the other hand, however, how in art, as an exaltation of creativity, the recognition of the irreducible singularity of art and the artist comes into play, in whose practice the intrinsic ethical value is revealed, which in the expression of personal singularity is revealed in the diffusivity of one’s own gesture.
