Abstract

Foundation as Alterity: the dialogue between art and philosophy in Schelling as a possible opening towards recognition. This paper synthetically examines the theme of recognition from the dialogue between philosophy and poetry in Schelling’s thought. The search for absolute identity, as the harmonisation of the ideal and the real, leads the philosophical quest towards the unconditioned, as the possibility of grasping the finite not only from a mechanistic point of view: nature is not only corporeality, it is not only necessity. The common participation of the finite in the absolute is what can enable thought and education in recognition.
